Student Supply Station

Everything you need to assemble that precious paper in the five seconds before class starts can now be found in one place: The Student Supply Station!

Beside the circulation desk and in front of the new(ish) first floor study room are all of those little essentials to improve your library experience. This used to be the Reference Desk, but now reference is everywhere (like air and Starbucks) through AIM: EcklesInfo.

Seek, and ye shall find:

+ stapler
+ tape
+ paper clips
+ hole punch
+ white-out
+ pencils
+ highlighters
+ paper scraps
+ a scanner

Is there something else you need, but aren’t finding at the Student Supply Station? End us an email at Eckles@gwu.edu or send an AOL instant message to EcklesInfo to let us know.

Fabulous First Floor
Our New and Improved Fabulous First Floor

Eckles 1st Floor Circa 2004
Eckles First Floor Circa 2004

If you have been around Eckles Library for a few years, you’ve seen a big transformation on the second floor.

In the past 18 months, Eckles has taken down the old, (ugly) gray, floor-to-ceiling shelving units. They were replaced by shorter shelving units which allow more light and don’t block the windows. We’ve also installed new carpeting (what a difference that made!) and added new comfortable chairs, larger tables and all new study carrells.

To complete the transformation, we now have 2 new sofas and 4 new loveseats, complete with comfortable, rolling ottomans for your studying pleasure! Be sure to stop by the new and improved Eckles 1st Floor and let us know what you think!
